Rent-a-car.cr publishes travel guides. We don’t rent cars, we aren’t a rental agency, and we don’t get paid by rental companies for links or mentions. We research public reviews and pricing so visitors can avoid surprises at the counter.
What we do
We read publicly available traveler reviews on TripAdvisor, forums, and booking platforms. We decode Costa Rica’s confusing insurance requirements. We share scenic routes worth driving. Our goal is simple: help foreigners enjoy Costa Rica without getting burned at the rental counter on day one.
How we compare rental brands
We snapshot public list prices on aggregators like Expedia and link to original reviews. Our table shows three major brands side by side — same classes, no endorsement. See the comparison table on the homepage. . When we mention a company, it’s because pricing or traveler feedback stood out in public data, not because they pay us.
How we research
When we cite a review, we link to the original source and use short excerpts for educational context. Pricing snapshots (like Expedia listings) are dated and illustrative — always confirm your final total directly with the rental company before traveling.
